The San Antonio River Walk is truly a shinning star of urban renewal and revitalization projects. The city once only the home of the Alamo and not much else anyone could think of is now the home of an exemplary revitalization project. By spending hundreds of millions of dollars San Antonio turned its river from area into the Riverwalk. Here you will find some of the best San Antonio hotels along with a lot of shopping, dining, drinking, meeting and playing all on the Riverwalk. Other than ever day attractions there are events held along the Riverwalk. In September there is the popular Dos Equis Pachanga del Rio festival offering culinary samplings from over 20 area resturaunts. This event is accompanied by the after party as well, you won’t want to miss it. While here you can take river cruises, visit the Natural Bridge Caverns where millions have seen the stunning natural beauty of these caverns and you can too. There are the Ripley’s Haunting museum, Gunniess World Record museum and the Tomb Rider 3-D tour.
