Many other sports have grown in popularity over the years in Dubai. However, only one is so traditional a practice that it has become part of the culture, and that is racing of Camels. Tourists from around the world come to the city to witness this, every restaurant fills up, every luxury hotel, Dubai becomes the playground for international visitors. Camels have played an integral part in the development of Dubai. They are considered one of the lifelines in the desert. And now with the celebrations surrounding the races, they have become not only the work animals, but the beloved and cherished animals as well. Not only are the races in and of themselves events, but events, such as festivals and special occasions are enhanced by the races. The whole Middle East has become the center of camel racing. Sometimes they are serious competitions, and sometimes, they are just pure entertainment.
The progress of Dubai has exploded, economically, developmentally and socially. This occurred so quickly that some of the traditions were losing the importance for the culture. Now, the animals whose only purpose in the past was transportation, have become symbols of affluence and cultural pride. The professional aspects of the racing are strictly enforced, and services are now available, much as with the breeders of the Thoroughbred horses in Leicester, UK, there are camel breeders and trainers now running programs. There are many high end tracks in the city currently, with races involving up to seventy camels at one time. Most times, admission to the races is free, however photos are prohibited at the tracks. This has however become quite a media event with live races being broadcast on the radio and television stations, and the results each day printed in the newspapers . The champion camels are often purchased by the sheiks, and the other wealthy citizens of the country as to own the winning camels has become a status symbol. Anyone traveling here for the first time should definitely witness one of these events.
The Spanish capital city of Madrid is the third most populous city in all of Europe. Madrid’s rich and colorful history has left it with wonderful monuments, architecture, and some of the most famous art in the world, but the city also offers a modern, cosmopolitan atmosphere making it one of the top tourist destinations in Spain.
A visit to the city may begin with a stay in one of the five star Madrid hotels. Travellers can then enjoy many fine restaurants and shopping opportunities. Art lovers will find incredible museums and galleries throughout the city. And Madrid is legendary for its exciting nightlife that begins in the city’s many restaurants but finds its heart in the many bars and nightclubs that keep the city humming all night.
One of the more unique attractions in Madrid is bullfighting. Established in 1929, the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas is Spain’s largest bullring and is considered by many to be the center of bullfighting for the entire world. Dedicated in 1931, Las Ventas can seat nearly 25,000 spectators.
The bullfighting season in Madrid starts up in March and runs through October. Daily bullfights are held from Mid-March to Mid-June during the San Isidro festivities. For the remainder of the season, bullfights occur on Sundays and public holidays. Seating prices are determined by their proximity to the arena and whether they are in shady areas of the stadium or sunny.
Off season, Las Ventas is home to many concerts and other large events, such as the 1996 concert by AC/DC that was recorded as a concert video/DVD.

The U.S. Open tennis tournament is a tournament rich with history and it separates the superstars from the rest. Roger Federer lost the French Open and the Wimbledon to Rafael Nadal this season so it will be no surprise to see both of these athletes in the finals match.
Federer will want to prove that he is still worthy of his number one spot and Nadal will be determined to climb into that coveted seat. These two players both show wonderful sportsmanship, even when they lose.
Roger Federer, who had won the last several Wimbledon tournaments, was obviously disappointed about his loss but he showed his respect and admiration for Nadal anyway. He did say he’ll be back next year, but in a positive tone.
This year’s U.S. Open will be exciting, especially since it follows the Olympics.

The Wimbledon tennis tournament has just passed middle Sunday and it looks like it will be Roger Federer versus Rafael Nadal for the men’s singles championship. Many are speculating that Nadal will win and Federer will not win for the sixth straight year.
I think that the Tennis Channel’s commentary was wonderful. They have been showing the best tennis highlights and they are always right on the money with their comments about specific players’ strengths and weaknesses.
Next is the U.S. Open and I bet the Williams sisters will do great their. They don’t seem too interested in tennis but when they are, one of them always dominates.

I love Grand Slam season. And in tennis news, the French Open is coming up. I cannot wait for this tournament because I think this is the year that the world ranked number one, Roger Federer, will win.
The French Open results from last year and the year before showed him finishing second, after his rival and world ranked number two, Rafael Nadal. These two have a long-standing competition which only leads to better matches and fiercer competition.
And hopefully the French Open tennis tournament news will show Roger winning. The Roland Garros is the only tournament from the Grand Slam series that he has not won.
For some individuals, golf is just a way of life. When the time comes to choose a profession that will be satisfying as well as viable, many turn to golf schools to get a solid education. Schools such as the San Diego Golf Academy often play a central role in providing the accredited curriculums that result in legitimate degrees. Graduates can then take their qualifications and use them to find employment just about anywhere they choose. With golf being as widely accepted as it is, there is hardly anywhere that doesn’t have at least one golf course in the immediate vicinity.
While teaching golf can sound enticing, one must consider whether or not that is where their best skills really lie. After all, while it does provide the chance to be out on the greens, one must also know how to communicate effectively with people on many different levels. Managing a golf course is also a great way to ensure one will always be immersed in their favorite sport, although on a much larger scale. Mostly, the key to a fulfilling professional golf career hinges on efficiently combining one’s main interest with practical skills.

I cannot wait for the Wimbledon tennis news coverage this year. Since I’ve never been lucky enough to go to England for this tennis tournament and I have a job, I have to catch the highlights on television. My favorite part is the men’s singles. The rivalries are great and make for really great sets.
But out of all of the Grand Slams, I would have to say that Wimbledon is by far my favorite. I think it’s because the contestants play on a grass court. The ball doesn’t bounce the way it would on any of the other courts and I think that it makes the athletes try harder.
With the buzz about yet another rematch between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, this year’s tournament is sure to spark interest with all types of people.
