Skin art is one of the hottest trends across the country. People are lining up to get sleeves and to have that look. Tattoos are no longer just for bikers and the like. Movie and television stars are getting them. All of this excitement around the new, permanent fad made me wonder how one goes about picking out their designs.

I went to a couple of parlors and discovered that many of the shops have the same tattoo flash art for their clients to choose from. Then each shop will several other tattoo supply designs to go through. And they will have unique drawings done by the artists themselves. This allows for a lot of choice. Many times the artist will make a design based on what the client asks for but did not see in the drawings.

Some shops even offer their clients the choice to use black light ink tattoo. That is where the ink will glow under a black light. The colors look normal in regular light but the ink shows up wherever there is a black light.
